U.S. 117 and Country Club Road Interchange

Fast Facts

Project # R-5719
Type: Interchange
Affected Counties: Wayne
Estimated Cost: $18,230,000

Description

As part of a larger transportation construction effort, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) plans to construct a new interchange where U.S. 117 and Country Club Road (SR 1135) meet in Mt. Olive just a bit southwest of Goldsboro and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

The larger NCDOT construction project will include a 24-mile-long freeway (I-795) that links I-40 to I-95 in eastern North Carolina. Much of this new freeway will run roughly parallel to U.S. 117.

It is presumed that the new interstate corridor will help enhance north-south mobility and connect the interstates and cities throughout this region of eastern North Carolina. In addition, it would allow for regional traffic growth as well as traffic growth on U.S. 117 between Goldsboro and Wilson.

There are only a handful of attorneys in NC who practice eminent domain exclusively, and even fewer with NCDOT experience. We have several. That’s why its worth getting in touch with us for a free case evaluation.

Here’s how it works:

1) Tell us about your situation.

2) We research your property as needed, using DOT maps, our own technology, and experience to see the exact effects.

3) We let you know what we think a fair offer would be. This evaluation is free, and there’s no
pressure or obligation to hire us after.

But please don’t wait to act. Waiting can hurt your case, and the cost is the same: free.
