N.C. 56 Intersection Realignment Creedmoor
Project # CR-5707
Type: Intersection realignment
Affected Counties: Granville
Estimated Cost: $4,480,000
NCDOT Project R-5707 is part of a larger-scale safety and traffic improvement effort along a 4.5-mile stretch of N.C. 56 from Butner to Creedmoor. Creedmoor improvements include intersection and other changes such as sidewalks where N.C. 56 (Wilton Avenue) meets Lake Road and N. Durham Avenue.
Traffic safety and improvement studies suggest these changes, which includes a four way intersection at N. Durham Avenue and Wilton Avenue will improve traffic flow, pedestrian mobility, access, safety, and the overall appearance of this corridor of Creedmoor.
- Right-of-way acquisition - Fall 2017
- Start Construction - 2019
- End Construction - 2020
It is estimated that more than 20 parcels of property will be impacted by this project. Currently the NCDOT has set aside $450,000 for right-of-way takings. If your property will be affected, contact one of our attorneys (two of whom previously worked on behalf of the NCDOT) for a free case evaluation.
