The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) plans to improve the I-40/I-85 interchange at Mebane Oaks Road in Mebane. The NCDOT plans to widen the existing bridge and nearby access roads, build new bicycle lanes and pedestrian walkways, and widen the northwest ramp (Ramp B).
The purpose of the project is to improve safety and decrease traffic congestion along Mebane Oaks Road.
