Project Type: Bridget replacement
Affected Counties:
Estimated Cost: $

The NCDOT proposes to replace the 150-foot bridge on NC 211 over the CSX Railroad in Robeson County. The new bridge will be 200-feet long and 32-feet wide. Its approach from the southeast near Ford Road will extend approximately 1360 feet, and 1340 feet from the northwest to just before Matchett Drive. Approaches will be widened to 32 feet, providing two 12-foot lanes and four-foot paved shoulders (11-foot shoulders where guardrail is included).

The current bridge was built more than 75 years ago. According to planners, it has passed the age and capacity where repairs are sufficient to maintain its structural integrity and safety.
