Fast Facts
Project # R-3620
Type: New Road
Affected Counties: Washington
Estimated Cost: $13,920,000
Description
The NC 32 Connector is a project the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has proposed to extend NC 32 all the way to US 64.
The new road would begin at the intersection of NC 32 and NC 94 and join US 64 and the intersection of US 64 and SR 1139. The total length of the project will be 3.7 miles.
In June 2009, the NCDOT held a public meeting where they presented two alternatives for public comment. After reviewing the comments and getting additional input from environmental agencies, the NCDOT chose "Alternative 1" as the preferred design.
