Brian is an award-winning advocate with decades of experience helping individuals stand up to intimidating opponents. “My philosophy is simple,” said Brian. “I always do what’s in the best interests of the client and trust that everything else will work itself out.”

Following in his brother’s footsteps, Brian set his sights on law school early on. But law school was more than just a means to an end for Brian. He loved discussing and debating the logic behind the law. Even after graduation, law never became stale. For Brian, every case is an opportunity to help someone by solving a new puzzle.

A True Client Focus

Forging connections with clients is critically important to Brian. “I spend as much time as I can talking with clients,” he said. “It’s my job to educate clients about the legal process and how their case fits in. Their job is to educate me about their particular situation.”

Brian’s empathy drives him to be more than just a great attorney. With each client, he seeks to be an advisor and a source of strength. While he began his career as a corporate and insurance defense attorney, there was no opportunity to develop meaningful one-on-one relationships with regular people. Now, Brian is one of the primary points of contact for desperate home and business owners facing an uncertain future. “There’s a lot of personal satisfaction helping people, and that is what drives me every day.”

Our goal is helping the underdog against powerful entities like the government. Brian makes his job sound easier than it is: “We try to provide leverage that helps people put more money in their pocket than they would otherwise.”

North Carolina Roots

Brian received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He has spoken to other attorneys at numerous continuing legal education courses throughout the state and previously served on the advisory board for the North Carolina Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. He is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice’s Auto Torts and Workers’ Compensation Sections, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the Wake County Bar Association.

Get a free case
evaluation today.

There are only a handful of attorneys in NC who practice eminent domain exclusively, and even fewer with NCDOT experience. We have several. That’s why its worth getting in touch with us for a free case evaluation.

Here’s how it works:

1) Tell us about your situation.

2) We research your property as needed, using DOT maps, our own technology, and experience to see the exact effects.

3) We let you know what we think a fair offer would be. This evaluation is free, and there’s no
pressure or obligation to hire us after.

But please don’t wait to act. Waiting can hurt your case, and the cost is the same: free.
