CSX S-Line Railroad Bridge
Project # P-5707
Affected Counties: Wake
Estimated Cost: $11,390,000
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is proposing to construct a bridge over the CSX S-Line railroad tracks at Rogers Road in Wake Forest in the same location as the existing at-grade crossing. In addition, the NCDOT will shift the intersection of Rogers Road and Heritage Branch Road 600 feet east of its current location.
The bridge is intended to make travel for both trains and vehicles safer and more efficient.
- Right-of-way acquisition – 2017
- Start Construction – 2019
- End Construction – 2021
It is estimated that more than 20 parcels of property will be impacted by this project. Currently, the NCDOT has set aside $1,890,000 for right-of-way takings. If your property will be affected, contact one of our attorneys (four of whom previously worked on behalf of the NCDOT) for a free case evaluation.
