Description
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is proposing to construct a bridge over the CSX S-Line railroad tracks at Rogers Road in Wake Forest in the same location as the existing at-grade crossing. In addition, the NCDOT will shift the intersection of Rogers Road and Heritage Branch Road 600 feet east of its current location.
The bridge is intended to make travel for both trains and vehicles safer and more efficient.

Property Takings
It is estimated that more than 20 parcels of property will be impacted by this project. Currently, the NCDOT has set aside $1,890,000 for right-of-way takings.
