Kimball Road to Bostian Road Extension

Fast Facts

Project # U-5608
Type: Road extension
Affected Counties: Rowan
Estimated Cost: $5,985,000

Description

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) plans to extend a 0.6-mile stretch of Kimball Road (SR 1211) from North Chapel Street (SR 1242) to Bostian Road (SR 1221) between China Grove and Landis in Rowan County.

The new two-lane extension will connect North Chapel Street near the new railroad bridge (currently under construction) to Bostian Road just south of US Hwy 29 in Landis.

The purpose of the new extension is to help improve traffic flow and reduce traffic volume in nearby residential neighborhoods along Bostian Road, particularly The Oaks of Landis.

Property Takings

More than 20 parcels of land will be impacted by this project. Currently the DOT has set aside $2,435,000 for right-of-way takings. If your property will be affected, contact one of our attorneys (four of whom previously worked on behalf of the NCDOT) for a free case evaluation.

There are only a handful of attorneys in NC who practice eminent domain exclusively, and even fewer with NCDOT experience. We have several. That’s why its worth getting in touch with us for a free case evaluation.

Here’s how it works:

1) Tell us about your situation.

2) We research your property as needed, using DOT maps, our own technology, and experience to see the exact effects.

3) We let you know what we think a fair offer would be. This evaluation is free, and there’s no
pressure or obligation to hire us after.

But please don’t wait to act. Waiting can hurt your case, and the cost is the same: free.
