Description
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) plans to widen a 1.5-mile stretch of U.S. 117 (North William Street) in Goldsboro (Wayne County).
The widening will commence at U.S. 70 Bypass and end at Tommy’s Road just south of Hwy 44.
The project on U.S. 117 (North William Street) is designed to eliminate the bottleneck section of road between Hwy 44 and the new U.S. 70 Bypass interchange. Currently, the road narrows from five lanes down to two lanes, then expands to four lanes.
