Project # U-5785
Type: Road Widening
Affected Counties: Pitt
Estimated Cost: $39,120,000

Description

As part of an overall effort to enhance east-west travel and safety along the nearly three-mile section of Firetower Road and Portertown Road from N.C. 43 to N.C. 33, the North Carolina Department of Transportation will widen a 0.6-mile section of Firetower Road from Charles Blvd. (N.C. 43) to 14th Street (SR 1704) in Greenville.

The existing two-lane roadway will be upgraded to include four 11-foot wide travel lanes, 5-foot-wide bike lanes in both directions, and a 16-foot-wide grassy median.

The proposed improvements were identified to address traffic congestion and allow for the potential for safer travel as well as help improve east-west connectivity.

There are only a handful of attorneys in NC who practice eminent domain exclusively, and even fewer with NCDOT experience. We have several. That’s why its worth getting in touch with us for a free case evaluation.

Here’s how it works:

1) Tell us about your situation.

2) We research your property as needed, using DOT maps, our own technology, and experience to see the exact effects.

3) We let you know what we think a fair offer would be. This evaluation is free, and there’s no
pressure or obligation to hire us after.

But please don’t wait to act. Waiting can hurt your case, and the cost is the same: free.
