Project # U-4738
Type: New Toll Freeway
Affected Counties: Brunswick, New Hanover
Estimated Cost: $1,021,000,000

Description

The Cape Fear Skyway is a proposed new toll road that spans 9.5 miles from the US 17 bypass in Brunswick County to US 421 near Wilmington. The road will include a new high-rise bridge over the Cape Fear River.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) proposed the new roadway as a way to increase traffic flow and freight movements by connecting major routes in Brunswick and New Hanover County and allowing easier access to the port. The project will also decrease hurricane evacuation times and help with emergency evacuation from Progress Energy’s Brunswick Nuclear Plant in Southport.

There are only a handful of attorneys in NC who practice eminent domain exclusively, and even fewer with NCDOT experience. We have several. That’s why its worth getting in touch with us for a free case evaluation.

Here’s how it works:

1) Tell us about your situation.

2) We research your property as needed, using DOT maps, our own technology, and experience to see the exact effects.

3) We let you know what we think a fair offer would be. This evaluation is free, and there’s no
pressure or obligation to hire us after.

But please don’t wait to act. Waiting can hurt your case, and the cost is the same: free.
