Pleasant Plains Road and Potter Road Intersection
Project # U-5112/W-5502
Type: Intersection improvements
Affected Counties: Union
Estimated Cost: $2,825,000
The NCDOT plans to make intersection improvements to Pleasant Plains Road (SR 1364) at Potter Road (SR 1364) in Stallings (near the Citgo Station). Specifically, these improvements include left turn lanes and traffic signal modifications as well as curbs, gutters, and sidewalk connections.
“This project is important to us because it is part of our larger master development plan,” Stallings Mayor Lynda Paxton said in a statement to the Union County Weekly. “For this project the main thing is to improve traffic flow.”
The left turn lane, however, is being added to help improve safety, according to the NCDOT.
