Torrence Chapel Rd & W. Catawba Ave. Intersection Project

Fast Facts

NCDOT TIP # U-5906
Project Type:
 Intersection Improvement
Affected Counties:
 Mecklenburg
Estimated Cost: $
 16,905,000

Description

According to the project plan, two roundabouts would be built on Torrence Chapel Road and another roundabout constructed on Liverpool Parkway, with additional changes proposed for Knox Road to reduce delays for drivers. NCDOT has recommended these developments after conducting traffic analysis.

In addition to the alterations in the project plan, traffic flow changes are also coming. Traffic counts will be taken at the completion of this project. NCDOT has stated that when those traffic counts increase by 10%, left turns from southbound Torrence Chapel Road to eastbound West Catawba will be prohibited.

Unfortunately, with these improvements, properties along Torrence Chapel Road and Liverpool Parkway may be negatively impacted. In particular, some businesses may lose existing parking spaces to accommodate the additional space needed for roundabouts and new sidewalks. If your property – whether business or commercial – stands to be affected by U-5906, contact the NC Eminent Domain Law Firm immediately.

There are only a handful of attorneys in NC who practice eminent domain exclusively, and even fewer with NCDOT experience. We have several. That’s why its worth getting in touch with us for a free case evaluation.

Here’s how it works:

1) Tell us about your situation.

2) We research your property as needed, using DOT maps, our own technology, and experience to see the exact effects.

3) We let you know what we think a fair offer would be. This evaluation is free, and there’s no
pressure or obligation to hire us after.

But please don’t wait to act. Waiting can hurt your case, and the cost is the same: free.
